It’s not often you see an Orangutan out and about in Blackpool. This solitary orange one was having a jolly time swinging from the ironwork supporting Central Pier.
OK, so it’s not really an Orangutan – but it does look a little bit like one?
Real orangutans are an endangered species. Closer to home this rogue fishing net, trapped by the pier, is yet another environmental threat to life on and around our shores.
